Projects Integration Strategy – 5

The Goal:

The goal of the integration strategy is to create a realistic plan to ensure:

  • Each project is clear on the scope they must deliver and how it relates to the scope each other projects must deliver
  • Each project is made aware of the deliverable dependencies they have with other projects, and the timing with which these deliverables must be provided
  • Additional scope or technical complexity discovered during the integration projects is escalated and assigned to a project or program phase with which it can be realistically delivered
  • The architectural vision is maintained across all integration projects
  • The business process vision is maintained across all integration projects
  • Source code conflicts are identified early and managed as part of the release
  • Testing conflicts with other program’s projects and with other projects outside the program are identified and managed
  • Organizational change activities are integrated into the projects and the entire program
  • Integrated testing can be completed and confidently signed off by all technical and business stakeholders in advance of the go-live date
